If you haven't already completed a Wheel Of Life then you can do so by clicking here.
Most people have two reactions to the way their wheel looks:
- Surprise - I never thought my wheel would look like that!
- Assertion - yes, my wheel reflects the way I'm chosing to live my life right now
So as you look at your wheel what do you notice?
Are you sacrificing one area for another i.e. career versus friends and family?
Perhaps your health is not what you’d like it to be but with your current work and family commitments you just can’t get to the gym regularly.
- So how would you like your wheel to look?
- What adjustments are required in each life area to make it OK?
Say you have put a 5 for personal growth but would like it to be an 8.
- What actions must you take to move it up those 3 points?
- How long do you want it to take before you get there?
Would you want to trade off another life area to speed things up? What would be the consequences of these changes be and could you ‘live’ with this compromise?
If looking at your Wheel Of Life has reaffirmed where you are and how you are in respect to where you want to be then that's great. However if it has surprised you and made you dissatisfied with where and how you currently are then this may be the 'wright' time to work with a coach.
